Māngere East Cultural Festival
The Māngere East Cultural Festival is a community celebration that has been held annually in the Māngere East Village since 2008.
The event is held during the week of Race Relations Day (in March) and celebrates our community's rich diversity, with the sharing of cultures through performance, arts and crafts, foods, activities and education.
We are proud to live at the gateway to Aotearoa in our 'community of communities' and we celebrate the many different ethnic groups and communities that make Māngere East such a vibrant and special place.
In 2023 we are doing it again and we encourage community groups, performers, food vendors, artists, and anyone that wants to participate to get in touch and get involved. #LoveMangereEast
Matariki Evening under the stars
Each year the Māngere East Community Centre joins Ohomairangi Trust in hosting an evening of beautiful kai, performances, matariki activities and learning about Te Ao Māori. Open to all of our Māngere East Community, we look forward to bringing the stars to our people every year.
Māngere East End of Year Festival
The Māngere East End of Year Festival is a celebration of our community and the year that has been. This day has been held annually since 2010.
The event is usually held in November or early December with the aim to bring all our wonderful people that make Māngere East the amazing place it is, together in food, performances, arts and crafts, sports, games, education and activities.
We are looking forward to 2023 Festival!
